At Rack House Primary School, we are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children. We work closely with parents, carers, and a range of professionals to ensure that every child is safe, supported, and able to thrive.

Operation Encompass
Rack House Primary School is proud to be part of Operation Encompass, a partnership between Greater Manchester Police and local schools.
The initiative supports children who are affected by domestic abuse by ensuring that school staff are informed quickly when the police attend an incident. This allows us to provide timely, appropriate support to help children feel safe and secure in school.
Operation Encompass ensures confidential communication between the police and the school’s Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), enabling immediate care and understanding for the child involved.
The project recognises that children are victims of domestic abuse in their own right and aims to reduce the impact of these experiences through early support and a nurturing school environment.
