Headteacher's Welcome

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I extend a warm welcome to each and every one of you to Rack House. As the Headteacher, I am honoured to be a part of this vibrant and dynamic educational setting. At Rack House we are dedicated to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment where every child can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our committed staff are passionate about fostering a love for learning, encouraging curiosity, and instilling values that will serve our pupils well throughout their lives. We take pride in our strong sense of community and collaboration, and we believe in working together with parents and guardians to ensure the success and well-being of every child. Communication is key, and we are committed to keeping you informed and involved in your child’s educational journey.

Our school values diversity and inclusion, and we celebrate the unique strengths and talents that each pupil brings to our community. We aim to create a safe and supportive atmosphere that encourages individual growth and collective achievement.

I invite you to explore our website, attend school events, and engage with us in the various opportunities for collaboration throughout the academic year. Together, we can create an enriching and fulfilling educational experience for your child. Thank you for entrusting us with the education and well-being of your child. I look forward to a successful and rewarding partnership in the years ahead.

Warm regards,

Darren Amesbury

    Census Day Thursday 3rd October
Thursday 3rd October is our school census day when the government collect data about our school. This information impacts our next year’s funding, we would like to ensure Rack House Primary School is in receipt of the maximum amount possible to future proof the success of the school and give our children the best possible resources and staffing. In order to achieve this, we are holding a special lunch for children to enjoy; one of the key funding categories is how many children take up Universal Free School Meals (UFSM) on census day! All children in KS1 and children eligible for free school meals will have a school dinner prepared for them. We would discourage packed lunches for KS1 pupils on this day. Our KS2 children are most welcome to enjoy the school dinner too, please pay via Parentpay. Please can all parents ensure they make their child’s selection via SchoolGrid or the office no later than Friday 20th September. If you think you may be eligible for free school meals, please speak to the office. The menu is attached to this message. Thank you.

Step right up! Join us for the Rack House Summer Fayre later today. Please use the Breakfast Club entrance for both entry and exit. Refreshments will be available in the canteen area. Stalls will be set up in one of the main halls and, weather permitting, in the Reception playground as well. Doors open at 3:30pm, and the fayre will run until 5:00pm. World Book Day - Friday 8th March
World Book Day 2024 Dear Parents/Carers, We are excited to announce that this year’s World Book Day celebration at Rack House Primary School will take place on Friday 8th March 2024. As always, this event promises to be fun-filled and an educational day for our students. The theme for this year’s World Book Day is ‘Heroes, Heroines, and Villains’. We believe this theme will inspire creativity and imagination among our students while also encouraging a deeper engagement with literature. We would like to invite all children to participate by dressing up as their favourite book character related to the theme. Alternatively, children have the option to bring three objects from home that link to their chosen book characters. To make the day even more exciting, we will be awarding prizes across the school for the best costumes and objects in each year group! Please mark your calendars for Friday 8th March 2024, and help us make this year’s World Book Day celebration a memorable and enjoyable experience for all students. Many thanks
